Read the transcription from the related video: "A Mirror as Large as a Tennis Court"

The following are descriptions of locations in the panoramic image.

Location 1 - Primary mirror
The Keck primary mirrors are the largest telescope mirrors ever constructed. Each is 10 meters (33 feet) in diameter and is composed of 36 hexagonal segments that work together as a single piece of reflective glass.

Location 2 - Crane

Location 3 - Adaptive optics facility
This enclosure houses a system that processes starlight in order to remove distortions caused by movements in the Earth's atmosphere.

Location 4 - Dome wall
The interior of each Keck dome is insulated with material that helps control temperature variations that could induce deformation of the telescope's steel and mirrors.

Location 5 - Secondary mirror structure
Houses the telescope's secondary mirror.
